The Cable Harness Tester is a PC-based cable continuity and resistance measurement analyzer.

The Cable Harness Tester not only tests resistance but also identifies open circuits, short circuits, crossed wires, mis–wires and pin–to–pin connectivity. It can also record all test results. The crucial data collected can be saved and uploaded to a PC for analysis. Users can clearly determine cable pin wiring easily and efficiently.

Expandable and programmable, this Future-Ready tester will provide pass/fail check and diagnostics for countless applications.

Micro USB Connector : Connect the Cable Harness tester USB connector to one end of the USB cable. The other end of the USB cable is connected to the computer’s USB 2.0 port.

Capabilities

Auto Learn

The Auto learn generated harness mappings can be saved to PC and can be loaded to the Cable harness tester manager software for mapping checks and resistance measurement.

Auto learn can also use any pre-configured excel configuration files, to analyse the harness mapping.

The Auto learn operation performs an automatic mapping of the harness. It can detect the hardware connection of ports, measuring the resistance between them.

Connectivity Measurement

Cable Harness Tester Manager software reports live connectivity status on all 128 ports. For each port, all its connections are shown.

Open/Short Detection

The tester has the ability to learn from a good cable connection which could help to detect any open/short connections, and miswiring/cross wiring with resistance within seconds.

Resistance Measurement

The Cable harness tester measures the resistance automatically, and reports failure when the resistor value falls outside the high and low limit thresholds. The limits for acceptable range of resistance for each connection can be configured, allowing stringent quality check on manufactured harnesses.

Labelling feature for measurement data

The Cable Harness Tester Manager Software controls the AHT-128 testers (one or multiple cascaded testers) to perform testing. It enables defining harness configuration either by editing the table in the software, from csv file, or through automatic learning from a reference harness. For each connection, higher and lower limits of acceptable resistance can be defined. During the testing, the software shows live measurements and results. It also provides test results management functionality for traceability.

The Cable Harness Tester Manager Software stands as a supporting hand on getting a pass/fail resistance measurement test based on customizable limits by showing up to 8 interconnected harness pins. The Cable harness tester measures the resistance automatically when the resistor value falls between the high and low limit thresholds. Given a pass/fail indicator, wire connections that exceed the maximum threshold resistance will be flagged as FAIL.

Professional test reports

The software helps to generate professional PDF test reports of the resistance measurement with a date and time stamp, version, part, and revision.

Calibration

AHT-128 tester comes with built-in calibration. Performing calibration at user facility can improve the accuracy of resistance measurement. A reference cord is included in the kit for calibration.
