Description of SUTO S430

Precision piezometric (Pitot tube) flow meter for reliable and long-term stable measurements of humid compressed air directly at the compressor outlet. The S430 flow meter with a Pitot tube provides flow and consumption measurement in humid air or in applications with high mass flow rates and high velocities. Based on the Pitot tube principle, the sensor features long-term stability, a wide dynamic range, and good temperature independence. It can be used in compressed air and non-aggressive gases.

The S430 compressed air flow meter is designed for use in humid air, so it can be installed directly at the compressor outlet. With this type of installation, other flow meters are likely to fail because they cannot withstand humid and hot air. The S430 withstands these conditions, making it the ideal tool for auditing compressed air systems and measuring compressor efficiency.

The S430 flow meter with a Pitot tube is perfectly suited for integration into process control systems or high-level monitoring systems. To ensure seamless integration, various output signal options are available: an isolated 4–20 mA analog output for current flow readings, an isolated pulse output for a totalizer, Modbus/RTU for reading all values digitally, Modbus/TCP for connection to higher-level systems, and M-Bus for measurement networks.

The S430 inline flowmeter can be installed in pipes with diameters ranging from 1 to 10 inches using center-line mounting, and for larger diameters, using off-center mounting. Thanks to its 3/4-inch ball valve inlet, the S430 can be installed under pressure and is ideal for applications where production downtime is unacceptable.

The S430 is supplied in an IP65-rated housing, ensuring reliable protection in harsh industrial environments. All parts in contact with the measured medium are made of 316L stainless steel. This ensures durability and measurement reliability.

Connecting the S430 to the free S4C-FS mobile app allows operators to view data in real time and configure the flow meter’s settings. It is precisely these features that make the S430 Pitot tube flowmeter the ideal choice for accurate and reliable monitoring of compressed air flow in humid and contaminated gases, such as those found at the compressor discharge.
