Description of SUTO S330 / S331

The universal S330 / S331 display and data logger is a powerful yet cost‑efficient solution for displaying and recording all relevant parameters of a compressed air system: flow rate, dew point, pressure, temperature, power consumption, compressor status, and other values. The device ensures reliable monitoring and optimal management of the pneumatic system.

The device is equipped with digital inputs for SUTO SDI sensors and Modbus/RTU sensors. For proper connection via an RS‑485 bus system, daisy‑chaining of the sensors is recommended – SUTO offers an RS‑485 splitter to simplify the wiring. In this way, up to 16 sensors can be connected to a single master input, allowing entire plants to be monitored with one data logger (additional power supplies for field devices might be necessary).

The analog input option allows connection of 0/4…20 mA, 0…10 V, and pulse signals. When more analog sensors need to be connected, an Analog‑Modbus/RTU converter module can be easily added, allowing another 8 analog sensors to be connected. This makes the S330 / S331 a highly versatile solution for integrating existing field hardware.

Due to the industry‑standard Modbus/RTU protocol, third‑party sensors can be easily integrated into the monitoring system. Field devices can be set up within seconds using the configuration software. All data is logged to the internal memory, can be used for virtual channel calculations, and real‑time values are forwarded to connected systems.

By connecting a 4G/LTE modem to the designated M12 port, remote monitoring is possible via the free SUTO S4A software. Recordings are downloaded to a PC via USB, LAN, or wirelessly using the modem. Basic analysis can be performed with S4A. For more sophisticated compressor diagnostics, the CAA software (included with S551) offers many advanced features such as:

• Performance statistics of compressors (efficiency, air delivery, load/unload cycles)
• Leakage analysis
• Report generation
• Comparisons with baseline measurements from previous periods to identify system changes

The 5″ color touch screen allows up to 4 sensors to be viewed on one page with page scrolling. The built‑in graphic analyzer helps identify abnormalities and problems instantly. For detailed analysis, the use of SUTO S4A software is recommended.

The S330 / S331 is not only a display and data logger but also a central unit for collecting, visualizing, and forwarding measurement data. The device can be easily scaled to meet growing plant requirements and ensures full transparency of all processes within the compressed air system.

In addition, the larger housing offers more space for internal wiring and more power for connected sensors. It retains all the technical specifications of the S331 Compact Version and acts as a central data hub, efficiently collecting and organizing measurement data from multiple field devices.
