Description of TRIO.BAS DUO ATEX

ATEX refers to the hazard of explosive atmosphere caused by the presence of combustible gases or flammable dust mixed with air, which can lead to explosion risk. ATEX air samplers with induction are designed to comply with ATEX certification.

In some pharmaceutical and food production facilities, sampling and analytical instruments may be operated in production zones and warehouses where flammable materials are present in the form of gas, vapor, mist or aerosol. In the presence of such substances, an explosive atmosphere can form, creating a flammable mixture in case of ignition source occurrence.

Explosive atmosphere can occur in the presence of combustible dust, flammable gases (fuel for furnaces), flammable liquids and vapors (alcohol-containing flavorings, cooking/coating oils), as well as solvents in analytical laboratories. Dangerous explosion occurs when combustible dust comes into contact with an ignition source, such as electrostatic discharge, mechanical overheating, chemical reactions or heat from surrounding surfaces.

Sampling Mode Programming:

• SEQUENTIAL: The second head starts after the first stops.
• SIMULTANEOUS: Both heads operate synchronously.
• INTERVAL: Sampling at set time intervals.
• CONTINUOUS: The next head activates immediately after the previous one completes.

Additional Functions:

• LED indicator on the display shows the current device status (delay, active sampling, pause) via different flash types.
• It is possible to work either in manual or automatic mode.
• Data can be exported for analysis or inspection verification.
