The high-performance S132 laser particle counter is designed for precise monitoring of the purity of compressed gases. The instrument detects particles ranging from 0.1 to 5.0 μm, while the Pro version with an extended range of 0.1–0.5 μm provides reliable verification for compliance with purity classes per ISO 8573-1 and ISO 8573-4.

The S132 laser particle counter is a high‑performance version within the SUTO iTEC instrument line, designed for critical applications where the smallest particles matter. It measures particles in the size range from 0.1 to 5.0 µm, delivering unmatched accuracy for compliance with ISO 8573‑1 and ISO 8573‑4.
The S132 automatically calculates ISO 8573‑1 purity classes, making purity assessment fast and reliable. The Guided Measurement feature supports users during audits and simplifies documentation by generating clear, standardized results – ideal for validation and certification processes.
The S132 model is equipped with an integrated pressure diffuser for direct sampling from pressurized lines up to 15 bar(g). This ensures accurate measurements without additional equipment and guarantees reproducibility of results in accordance with international standards.
An optional 5″ touch screen provides clear visualization of particle channels and ISO class results. The integrated data logger stores up to 30 million measurement values, while communication via Modbus/RTU, Modbus/TCP, 4‑20 mA, and USB allows full integration into control systems or SCADA.
Thanks to its rugged metal housing with IP65 protection, the S132 is designed for use both in cleanrooms and industrial environments, providing stable continuous operation even in the most demanding conditions.
The SUTO S132 laser particle counters are optimized for 24/7 compressed air quality monitoring. Unlike competitive solutions, they are equipped with integrated pressure diffusers to reduce the pressure inside the instrument. This allows users to operate the laser particle counters directly at the compressed air system without installing pressure reducers, thereby complying with ISO 8573‑4.
Measurement values are displayed in counts per volume (cn/m³), but can also be shown in alternative volume units such as cubic feet or liters. The integrated display offers live readings for all channels, signal output settings, as well as data storage on the device.
ISO 8573‑1 defines compressed air purity classes for particulates by providing limit values for each channel. The S132 measures the channels as defined by ISO 8573‑1: 0.1 < d ≤ 0.5 µm, 0.5 < d ≤ 1.0 µm, and 1.0 < d ≤ 5.0 µm. For these three channels, limit values are defined and divided into classes. Furthermore, as stated in ISO 8573, a fourth channel must also be measured: particles larger than 5.0 µm. For classes 0…5, this channel value must be zero; otherwise, the classification falls into class 6 or worse, where mass concentration is defined as the limit value.
Certain industries, such as pharmaceuticals and food, require high‑quality compressed air. Meeting ISO 8573‑1 requirements allows you to ensure process and product safety (contaminants mixing with applications affect product results and can create safety concerns) and prevent production downtime (processes and machines are stopped to find and eliminate contamination issues).
The S132 particle counter features an innovative Guided Measurement tool that simplifies the process of testing compressed air quality. This intelligent feature guides the user through each step of the measurement process, making it easy to use even for inexperienced users. The instrument produces detailed compressed air purity reports showing particle concentration, ISO particle class, and whether the current air quality meets the required standard. These reports are generated as PDF files and are fully compliant with ISO 8573‑1. This ensures that your compressed air system meets the required cleanliness levels for your specific needs. With its user‑friendly Guided Measurement and commitment to ISO compliance, the S132 is an essential tool for ensuring high‑quality compressed air.
