Description of SUTO 335

The S335 IoT Gateway is the central unit of your compressed air monitoring system. Designed to bridge the gap between field sensors and advanced monitoring software, it ensures seamless data collection and distribution. The S335 supports multiple sensors, allowing up to 16 devices to be connected via Modbus/RTU, making it ideal for monitoring both small and large systems.

Thanks to the built‑in web server and remote access via 4G, users can monitor and configure system parameters from anywhere. The gateway’s powerful power supply allows connected devices to be powered directly, simplifying installation. The S335 is a versatile solution for optimising compressed air systems.

By connecting a 4G/LTE modem to the designated M12 port, sensor data from the S335 can be monitored remotely via SUTO S4M‑SaaS.

The S335 features a compact design that allows the device to be mounted on a wall or on a 35 mm DIN hat rail.

Connect all your compressed air devices

SUTO Modbus/RTU Sensor Input

The S335 supports input from Modbus/RTU sensors. To properly connect Modbus/RTU sensors to an RS‑485 bus system, it is recommended to daisy‑chain the sensors to one of the inputs. For this purpose, SUTO offers an RS‑485 splitter to simplify the wiring. Using this method, users can connect up to 16 sensors to the master input, making it highly versatile and allowing entire plants to be monitored (additional power supplies for field devices may be necessary).

Power your sensors directly with the S335 Gateway

The S335 Gateway offers seamless integration with external power sources, allowing you to power connected sensors directly without the need for separate power supplies for each device. This streamlined approach significantly reduces installation complexity and increases the flexibility of your setup.

With support for up to 72 Watts of external power, the S335 delivers a robust 65 Watts to connected sensors to ensure optimal performance. Meanwhile, the gateway itself consumes minimal power – just 7 Watts – making it an energy‑efficient choice for your system.

Third‑Party Sensor and Field Device Support

By relying on the industry standard Modbus/RTU protocol, the S335 supports third‑party sensors to be easily integrated into the monitoring system. Field devices can be easily set up using the web browser‑based S4C‑Web, allowing third‑party sensors to be added within seconds.
