Description of TRIO.BAS MONO ATEX

ATEX refers to the danger of explosive atmospheres caused by the presence of combustible gases or flammable dust mixed with air, which can lead to a risk of explosion. ATEX induction air samplers are designed to comply with ATEX certification.

In some pharmaceutical and food manufacturing facilities, sampling and analytical instruments may be operated in production areas and storage areas where flammable materials are present in the form of gas, vapor, mist, or aerosol. The presence of such substances can create an explosive atmosphere, forming a flammable mixture in the event of an ignition source.

An explosive atmosphere can occur in the presence of combustible dust, flammable gases (furnace fuel), flammable liquids and vapors (alcohol-based flavorings, cooking/coating oils), and solvents in analytical laboratories. A dangerous explosion occurs when combustible dust comes into contact with an ignition source such as electrostatic discharge, mechanical overheating, chemical reactions, or heat from surrounding surfaces.

Features

• Induction charging is performed via a base station without any cable connection between the instrument and the charger. The device body is IP65 certified for protection from dust and water. Operation is possible in both manual and automatic modes.
• Data transfer is via Bluetooth: from the air sampler to a smartphone or tablet (Android), and then to a PC or laptop. Direct connection to a PC via dedicated software is also possible.
• The barcode module with a Bluetooth scanner ensures automatic registration of the operator, sampling location, and plates used. The scanner transmits data directly to the device, which is particularly convenient when using plates with barcodes or 2D codes (QR codes).
• The use of sterile Daily Shift aspirating heads reduces the risk of contamination. The 200 L/min air flow reduces the operator time and the sampling time.
