Description of TRIO.BAS ISOLATOR RABS

RABS ISOLATOR is a command unit, completely fabricated in stainless steel, designed to control external satellites. Up to three independent satellites can be connected.

Each satellite is connected to the command unit via electronic cable (up to 20 meters), ensuring system flexibility.

The variety of satellites (standard, with TRI CLAMPS connection, or with HEPA filter) allows meeting various customer requirements. These instruments are designed for pharmaceutical facilities where RABS or isolators are used, and where limited space does not allow placement of a full-size air sampler. The presence of multiple heads ensures continuous microbiological environmental monitoring in compliance with regulatory requirements. Sampling data can be exported for subsequent analysis or inspector oversight.

Satellite — remote unit for air sampling for microbial cleanliness. Housing is fabricated from polished AISI 316 stainless steel. Each aspirating head is equipped with individual identification number. Designed for use with standard 90 mm Petri dishes. Equipped with adjustable holders and electrical connector for connection to command unit.

TRIO.BAS stainless steel satellites represent an ideal solution for operation in RABS and isolators, as the sampled air remains inside the closed cabinet volume and does not require additional exhaust.

  • Standard Stationary Satellite. Fabricated from AISI 316; compatible with 90 mm Petri dishes or 55 mm Contact plates; aspirating heads (stainless steel or sterile “Daily Shift” technopolymer) ordered separately; compact dimensions: Ø12 cm × 12 cm, weight 1,170 g (without head) — code 260–261
  • Standard Stationary Satellite with HEPA Filter. Equipped with side adapter for HEPA filter connection for exhaust air purification; recommended for cleanrooms; filter service life — 3–6 months (depending on sampling frequency); built-in alarm warns of filter clogging; holder for Petri dish lid provided; dimensions: Ø12 cm × 12 cm, weight 1,260 g — code 262–263

Satellite connection to command unit

Satellites can be connected to the command unit in two ways:

  1. Flexible cable (code 265) up to 5 m length (standard), with possibility of custom cables up to 20 m length on request. Cable equipped with 4-pin male/female connectors. Compatible with all satellite types.
  2. Hermetic wall pass-through in stainless steel (code 267). Provides sterile cable introduction through cleanroom barrier construction. Flexible cables not included. Designed for standard satellites only.

  • Command unit and satellites are fabricated from AISI 316 stainless steel.
  • Sampler is specifically designed for customers performing high volume of controls in various environments, with high personnel rotation, in compliance with quality standards and QM/GMP.
  • Barcode module using Bluetooth scanner automatically registers operator, location and used plates. Data is transmitted directly to the instrument. This solution is useful for companies using plates with barcode or 2D-code (QR).
  • Data transfer is possible via Bluetooth between sampler and smartphone/tablet (Android), then to PC/laptop.
  • Cable data transfer is also possible — this is important for companies where security policy does not allow use of wireless technologies.
  • Operation in manual or automatic mode is possible.
  • Battery is charged via cable connected directly to the instrument.
  • Air flow 200 l/min reduces sampling time and reduces operator workload.
  • Sampler allows monitoring in separate cleanrooms using one external command unit. Contamination risk is reduced, as satellites remain permanently inside cleanrooms.
  • Use of sterile disposable aspirating heads “Daily Shift” reduces contamination risk.
  • Possibility of using 1, 2 or 3 different aspirating heads allows using 1, 2 or 3 different culture media simultaneously or performing sampling before production (at rest), during production (in operation) and after production cycle completion.
  • LED indicator on the left side of display shows sampling status via different blinking frequency: delay wait, sampling in progress, sampling pause.
