Each microbiological air sampling cycle or series of samplings in one controlled environment using an active air sampler requires the use of a sterile aspirating head.
Stainless steel aspirating heads must be sterilized in autoclave and accompanied by a sterilization document, as required by regulatory inspectors.
The sterilization process can be avoided by using sterile “Daily Shift” heads made of antistatic plastic resin, double-packaged, with official sterilization certificate by irradiation method.
