PLAST-O-MATIC UPRS descriptions

• UPRS Series pressure regulators will not allow downward pressure to exceed the set pressure when properly installed and used within recommended pressure, temperature and chemical compatibility ranges.
• The key to determining material compatibility is prior successful use in the same application.

PLAST-O-MATIC UPRS technical specifications

• Excellent flow with minimal metal ion contamination and particle dispersion.
• Full gate design, prevents pressure slip across the regulator under no-flow conditions.
• All thermoplastic fluoropolymer construction; FFKM elastomers treated with proprietary cleaning (boiling/acid/acid dispersion). Kalrez FFKM ultra-pure perfluoroelastomer specification provides lowest metal ion contamination performance in semiconductor and other high purity applications
• Standard compounds: PVDF butt joint for Asahi or GF high purity piping systems. Other types available; consult factory.
• High performance regulator ensures maximum flow with minimum pressure loss downstream.
• No metal components except stainless steel non-wetted springs and external fasteners.
• Variable area diaphragm provides excellent sensitivity.
• Set pressure 10-100 PSI
• Multi-turn pressure control provides precise, infinite settings.
• Maximum inlet pressure 150 PSI
• High purity CDB-16 (8 hour hot/8 hour cold DI flush) procedure is standard; clean and double bagged in a Class 100 (ISO 5) clean room

NOTES TO THE WARNING:

1. If the system is to be shut down for a period of time, the valve upstream of the regulator must be closed and the pressure downstream of the regulator released. 2. Before restarting the system, the upstream valve should be opened slowly to prevent pressure build-up and possible damage to the regulator. 3. Quick-closing valves installed downstream of the regulator may cause water hammer. This may cause damage to the regulator.
