Shaanxi Yidu Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Yidu”) was founded by a research and development team consisting of postdoctoral fellows and Ph.D. holders from Northwestern Polytechnical University. It is China’s first manufacturer of universal laminar flow meters. For over a decade, the company has focused on developing high-precision laminar mass flow meters and controllers, helping users solve various fluid measurement and control challenges, with the goal of becoming a global leader in laminar differential pressure flow measurement and control solutions. Currently, Yidu has established Xi’an as its R&D center and built a nationwide pre-sales and after-sales service network.

Drawing on expertise in hydrodynamics, materials science, and embedded hardware and software development, as well as more than a decade of independent R&D, the team has accumulated deep knowledge and outstanding innovation capabilities in the field of microflow measurement and control. Several national patents have been obtained, featuring novelty both in China and worldwide. The company actively promotes industry–academia cooperation and maintains strong collaborations with numerous domestic universities.

• 2011 – Initiated the development of a laminar flowmeter. A research team was formed, the technical strategy was defined based on the principle of laminar differential pressure, and scientific research activities were launched.
• 2013 – First laminar flow sensor prototype created. The first verification prototype of a laminar flow sensor was developed. Tests showed that at atmospheric pressure the sensor can ensure stable laminar flow with a turndown ratio greater than 100:1 and accuracy better than 0.3%, confirming its significant technical potential.
• 2015 – Completion of the first engineering product prototype. The first engineering prototype of a laminar mass flowmeter was successfully developed, proving the technical feasibility of the selected product concept.
• 2017 – Development of the first-generation product prototype completed. The first-generation laminar mass flowmeter prototype passed comprehensive and rigorous testing, after which its final design was approved.
• 2018 – First-generation product obtained initial CPA certification. The first-generation product successfully passed all type tests conducted by the National Institute of Metrology of China, obtained the Certificate of Pattern Approval (CPA), and was successfully deployed in a precision helium-filling system for airships.
• 2019 – Recognized as a “National High-Tech Enterprise.” Two invention patents and one utility model patent were applied for and granted. The company was awarded the title of “National High-Tech Enterprise” and initiated the development of the second-generation product, model PRT-1.
• 2020 – Second-generation product received CPA certification. The second-generation product series—laminar mass flowmeters and controllers—was launched to the market, successfully passed all type tests at the National Institute of Metrology of China, and received CPA certification.
• 2021 – Development and market launch of the PRT-IP product series. Fully upgraded versions of PRT-1P flowmeters and controllers were introduced.
• 2024 – Development and market launch of the PRT-1X product series. The PRT-1X product series entered the market, along with an entirely new P-series of flowmeters.
