Company History

• 1969 – Foundation Establishment of A. Leitenberger — a precision mechanics workshop in Reutlingen founded by Reinhold Leitenberger and Erich Coulon. The first products included pressure gauges, tension thermometers, and test devices for automotive radiators.

• 1982 – Reorganization Division into three subsidiary companies:

  • LEITENBERGER Mess- und Regeltechnik GmbH and relocation to Wannweil (between Reutlingen and Tübingen).
• 1987 – Relocation to Kirchentellinsfurt After LEITENBERGER Mess- und Regeltechnik GmbH moved into its new building in Kirchentellinsfurt (Bahnhofstraße 32) in 1985, a new facility for AUTOTESTGERÄTE Leitenberger GmbH and DRUCK & TEMPERATUR Leitenberger GmbH was commissioned on the opposite side of the street (Bahnhofstraße 33).
• 1988 – First participation in industry exhibitions The company began actively participating in international trade shows and exhibitions, presenting a wide range of innovative products, for example at INTERKAMA in Düsseldorf.
• 1989 – Introduction of a comprehensive electronic data processing and business process automation system After implementing EDP in the group’s accounting department in 1987, DRUCK & TEMPERATUR Leitenberger GmbH introduced electronic data processing for all stages — from preparing quotations and orders to invoicing — based on its in-house merchandise management system GeBro.
• 1990 – Expansion of production facilities
• 1998 – Generational change in management
• 2013 – Expansion of facilities
  Production, development, and engineering departments were enlarged by approximately 1300 m² — bringing the total area to around 9700 m² (new construction and extension).
• 2014 – Corporate image film
  A corporate video titled “Innovation through Intuition”, reflecting the philosophy of DRUCK & TEMPERATUR Leitenberger GmbH, was created.
• 2018 – Production optimization
  Since its foundation, the company has paid special attention to reproducible quality. For example, a new system for the automatic adjustment of digital pressure gauges was developed.
• 2019 – 50th anniversary
  The LEITENBERGER group of companies, including DRUCK & TEMPERATUR Leitenberger, celebrated its 50th anniversary. The company employs around 160 people.
• 2023 – Completely redesigned website
  The company presented its portfolio on a new, extensive, and modern version of its website.
• 2024 – 55th anniversary
  The company proudly celebrated 55 years of successful operation.
