Double acting Air x Air or Fail-safe Air x Spring actuators designed for corrosive service. Features rugged plastic construction to NEMA 4X standards with direct manual override. Fail-safe valves can be normally-open or normally-closed. Most units can be hydraulically actuated.

For valves 3/8″ – 4″ sizes in PVC, CPVC, Natural Polypro, PVDF with FKM or EPDM. Available with NPT, socket, BSP, Sanitary, and other connection types.

Descriptions of PLAST-O-MATIC ABV/ABR

  •  ABV

Features:

  1.  All plastic construction ideal for corrosive atmosphere. The ABVA requires a 4-way air solenoid valve
  2. Direct manual override standard on ABVA & ABVS.
  3. Easy field attachment to ball valve.
  4. Long cycle life – extensively tested & proven.
  5. ABVS converts easily between normally-open and normally-closed operation.
  6. Lightweight assembly – less piping stress and lower shipping weight.
  7. Can be hydraulically actuated.

Installation:

The ABRA requires a 4-way air solenoid valve and ABRS and ABMS require a 3-way air solenoid valve to control actuation. Compressed air should be filtered and lubricated. The hex nuts used to mount the actuator are tapped to facilitate piping support.

Manual Override:
Series ABVA and ABVS have direct override to the ball valve shaft. Series ABVS requires simple loosening of the spring prior to manual override.

Features:

  2. Manual override standard on ABRA & ABMS.
  3. Easy field attachment to ball valve.
  4. Long cycle life – extensively tested & proven.
  5. ABRS and ABMS can be converted between normally-closed and normally-open.
  6. Lightweight assembly – less piping stress and lower shipping weight.
  7. Can be hydraulically actuated.
